GOOD LORD. I seem to consistently discover new potential kinks with your fics, LOL I’ve been craving some destiny fics recently and this definitely fit the bill! I skimmed through ring so I was in the right headspace before I started this and I’m glad I did since this picks up right where that left off.

While extremely hot, it also made me all warm and squishy with the extra care taken by Cas to make sure that consent was -absolutely- a priority. His discussion with Sam should be required reading for the population. I wanted to give a standing ovation because the description of how to handle a potential/faked intoxication with the solution of GIVE HER AN ORGASM and then LEAVE HER ALONE was absolutely brilliant.

I’m not familiar with the physicality of choking so I’ll leave that to the experts, but as someone who hasn’t experienced that it came across VERY WELL and SWEET LORD I’m glad Cas is well versed in anatomy so he can do that safely. The level of trust they’ve gotten to throughout their relationship is *goals*. I was a little concerned at the “repair the damage” line but Cas cleared that right up by saying that Dean was strong enough to throw him off if it was too much for him. Knowing he was never in danger, even if he hadn’t explicitly consented to that act in that particular moment it wasn’t crossing any lines, made it both amazingly hot and deeply moving. When you’re in a long term relationship there is flexibility and trust there that is not necessarily the same with a new partner and that scene showed it.

I read through twice and then some, and one of my main takeaways was how brilliantly the misunderstandings on the call were handled, especially Dean’s jealously at the beginning. Involving a third party comes with unexpected reactions… that’s such a -real- and vulnerable thing and the expression of the emotional process was beautifully portrayed. You can feel what Deans hard limits are, where/how his insecurity was soothed, and how carefully the scene was planned by Cas to make sure that it pushed him -just enough- but not too much. It seemed spontaneous because Dean (and therefore the reader) went into it somewhat blindly so each unveiling of a planned step was exciting to discover. It definitely made me enthusiastic about seeing what aftercare looks like for them after this scene… I hope Dean’s knees are ok LOL.

I don’t have any notes, I just wanted to give you an idea of my emotional journey as I read it and hopefully that’s what you’re needing. If you have questions or need me to address something specific let me know!!! Thank you for what you do and thank you for trusting me with this gem.

OH my heart… Dean explaining how Benny works to Cas is just gorgeous. I definitely related to Cas’ confusion (and the fear of missing something obvious which is a pretty standard autism trait), I’m pretty sure I did the head tilt and everything, but I totally get what Dean meant. The fact that Dean is so perceptive is one of the things I adore about him!

Again, I love the pause-for-communication. It sets such a good example of how the ebb and flow of a scene can be, and Cas double checking to make sure Dean could still consent makes me all warm and fuzzy. I’m not sure how I could be so overcome by the sweet and adorableness but ALSO holy-hot there will be begging and spanking? Yes please!
